Meet the Founder | Evan Bishop
Evan Bishop, founder of Bishop Defense and Bullseye Bishop, is a self-made entrepreneur with deep roots in the firearms world. Raised in San Jose, California, his passion began at age 10, when his father handed him a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum—a moment that sparked a lifelong connection to shooting.
In 2016, Evan turned that passion into purpose. Starting out of his mother’s garage, he built Bullseye Bishop from the ground up, selling slings, parts, and optics. With a handshake approach and a commitment to quality, he grew a loyal following and a respected name in the industry.
A Father’s Legacy
Evan’s father played a pivotal role in his story. He promised Evan he could start shooting at 10—and kept that promise with a powerful first shot. That moment became a defining memory and the foundation for everything that followed.
After his father’s passing in 2006, Evan carried that legacy forward. Every product, handshake, and decision at Bullseye Bishop reflects the values instilled in him: discipline, respect, and connection. The business is more than a career—it's a tribute.
Building Bishop Defense
In 2024, Evan expanded the vision with a new location in Meridian, Idaho—Bishop Defense. This marked a major evolution from retail to in-house manufacturing. Today, the company proudly produces its own line of handguns and AR-platform rifles.
Bishop Defense stands as the next chapter in a story rooted in passion and built on purpose. With every product, the team honors the past while pushing forward—serving the firearms community with integrity, craftsmanship, and pride.
